Same as my bus. I also got mine from 422 sales. I like mine. It’s going to need a turbo though.

That's a decent motor. Those Duramaxes are pretty solid. Mechanics dislike working on them since they are so cramped in the engine bay. They make it work most of the time though.

Yeah, cutaways are expensive should you have significant engine work and cannot do it yourself. But that’s a reliable motor. In my case, the turbo “barks” sometimes and throws the engine light the a VPS sensor out of range message indicating the vanes are likely stuck or have limited range. I found a brand new turbo with the solenoid for $1300, plus my own 16 or so hours of sweat. It still runs great and it just Got done doing 1000 mile road trip.

When I say they are expensive, that’s for labor. Parts are cheaper and readily available everywhere

The ad says that the check engine light is on. I’d want to take an ODB2 reader and find out what codes it’s thrown before bidding

I’m curious on whether you won the auction and how much you got the bus for? I’m shopping for a schoolie. Hoping to find one on an auction site. I love the dog nose on the Internationals.
But so many of the interior styles I like on Instagram end up being cutaway’s. Which should have little to do with the interior.

I currently have a bid on a 6.6 L GM Duramax Midbus. I’m not sure how much is a fair deal. It’s interesting to see the winning bids at different auctions. The range is extremely wide, $700-$19,000. It appears the shorties are going for so much higher in this last year. Supply and demand.

I would love to hear your updates.

Used to live in Butler, pa not far from the 422 Auto auction. Spent a bit of time there. When they would run a bunch of busses through they would be pretty rough. Especially body cancer. I would avoid busses from the rust belt.
