Hey there all. I'm thinking about getting back into the skoolie game after selling my 6 window Bluebird a couple years ago. I'm looking to get something smaller this time. Just a little rambler for my wife and I to take the kids (6 and on weekend getaways. No cross country trips in our future...at least not yet!
Anyhow, here are a couple possibilities for sale locally that I would appreciate input on. I will happily do the conversion but I don't do work on cars...at least not much. I do have a trustworthy mechanic.
I went with my daughter this morning to check out the bus listed on Facebook. There were actually two. One with AC and 84k miles and one without ac and 70k miles.
The ac was in the dash and then a ceiling mounted 4 vent unit in the rear. Both blew well but did not blow cold. Owner is going to try to charge them up and report back.
Asking price is $4000 for the one with AC and $3500 for the one without.
The seats are currently installed but the seller could remove (they are parked at his body shop so it’s easy for him to do it.
They were formerly used as busses for the local school systems head start program so they were serviced regularly.
Any thoughts about asking price or the particular model would be appreciated.
So those first two leads went cold. Here's a bus I am quite interested in. I'd love to hear feedback on the engine as well as thoughts on the mileage.
I hope the links to Facebook marketplace work... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...3063074120398/

You only really gave us mileage and if it has ac.
May I ask why you want to go shorter ?
transmission model is important too - just stating the maker of the transmission without the model says nothing about whether it's a desirable transmission or not
