shuttle bus in oceanside, cali for sale- craigslist

this was next on my list to check out if i did not buy the chevrolet last week

it is listed on craiglist san diego
guy sent me a few pics and 50,000 miles ago it got a new motor at the ford dealer and tons of other work, brakes, suspension etc
has pages of ford service records and is a california bus

good chance i would have bought this but i wanted a GM gas motor over a ford

I'd post it here - that's where a lot of us check.

which gas engine?
if its the v10 and its not that old then maybe they addressed the few known issues that those had but they are good engines and my son has one in a 99 super duty pushing a little over 400,000.
but he was a ford mechanic and believes in religious maitenance

Pretty sure it is the v10, this looks like a nice bus and meticulously maintained

yeah the records are nice to have.
mine came with the build sheet from order date
full wiring diagrams as built.
full maitenance records of 20-years and the oil analysis from every oil change and a freshly done full DOT inspection before they would let me leave with it.
just remember these things are built for stop and go and a shuttle should do highway speeds just fine but at longer trips keep an eye on tranny temp and see if you might need to add a secondary/auxiliary cooler to help things.
i havent been to oceanside/carlsbad since i was a young marine?
that was awhile ago?

Wow, that’s really cool that you got all those records with yours, I am planning to try and stop at the California school that sold the one I am buying and see if I can get any records…
Fingers crossed
