Hmmmm, idk...
We could always have a "skoolie winter getaway weekend".
I'll have a new bus to debut, as well.

I know, I do love the color though. I like how I left the ribs black to kind of break up the colors too. I have wanted it to look like this since we got it last December but we were limited on places we could actually paint it. And it was hot AF most of our trip so painting a hot as the sun bus was out of the question.
I used Rustoleum flat white paint and rolled it on the old fashioned way. Used a smaller brush to get into the tight spots. The blue needed 3 coats but the white only took 2. I borrowed Charlie's electric sander the other day and got it sanded in about 20 minutes. We did the whole bottom part by hand, what were we thinking! Taping it off is really the hardest part. I am happy with the results, she looks like a new to us bus! But I am tired and sore as hell. My manual labor quota is done, tomorrow I relax. -Hillary

Updates!
Hillary has a broken pelvis and we're in the frozen side of Florida, so not a lot has happened for a while. Today we had a bit of sunshine and we've started working on some reorganization with the goal of a substantial remodelling.
I've mentioned how much I like using big metal filing cabinets, and today we condensed in a major way. We had a pair of cheap plastic walmart drawers and managed to condense their contents into our existing filing cabinets! We had a lot of stuff that we hadn't touched since our initial build phase, just eating valuable space. Removing those plastic cabinets (and our TV last month) gives us back around 5 feet of wall space that goes all the way to the ceiling.
I've also built a raised frame setup for our futon. This will give us some usable under-bed storage, more to come on that, I have big plans.
Our bus has been missing some features since we built it. If you've read my thread from the start, you know we were 100% living in it 45 days after we bought it. We didn't get as far as water tanks or a reasonable cooking area. I've got more plotting and planning to do but you can bet I'm going to use the newly opened space for adding functionality and not for hanging pictures!

Broken pelvis.? That is horrible hope you heal soon Hillary. If it goes two weeks without a touching, toss it that's what I try and stick too. don't think that works with the significant other though. Ice & Heat on that pelvis. Florida is frozen right.? now you just need a heat some heat.

Thanks, I have my 2 week follow up on Wed. but I am pretty sure I will need to be on this walker for at least a month. Getting in and out of the bus sucks so Josh moved our futon into our friends house. I like the 2 week thing but I never remember to actually trash stuff. But we made a good dent and I actually felt useful for the first time in a few weeks. Other than that I shall continue to be a bump on a log for the next few weeks.
Yes Charlie, Waffle House! Josh and I will wear our new real tree camo Waffle House hats to celebrate you being able to eat waffles again!
-Hillary
