Re: The Annihilatrix
Looks like the stasrt for a cool project. Do a search for photo album here. There are some instructions as to how to do it. It's not that hard, Hell, I did it. It just escapes me right now how it did it.

Re: The Annihilatrix
Hey guys thanks for all the feedback. it is with out a doubt the most fun thing i have ever drove in my life everybody stares and laughs and ask us for pics and hey cool car ! to which i always reply its a bus when we got this there was a little bit of rust so we ground it out and bondoed the holes repainted cant even tell now unless you get right next to it. I have been trying to find out some history about it the guy i got it from said it came from near albany ny and the guy who had it before bought it but didnt have it long the people before that had some sort of sewing business they traveled across country doing that but as far as what school it was for I don't know if anyone knows how to find out i have the bus number and a number that was on the back door.So this bus has had a pretty varied life and know its the battleship and our benchmark in our town this thing is famous around our county already and its not even close to being done im gonna put some more pics up . PS. we took it on our first big road trip we went camping at a music festivel quite near to wear the guy who i got it from bought it. all good we did have one dually blow out on us called triple a and it wasnt good for another week it takes awhile for anything but basic to kick in so keep it in mind if you get it for trip . but our friend had a good card and we were back on the road when we got there we were the only bus and we were parked with like fifty white rvs and then there we were the little (i still think its big as hell) black bus.thanks though we love the feedback

Re: The Annihilatrix
Man, nothing beats having a rolling advertisement! Just looks like fun to drive around! Try ebay for the headlight trim ring. I am digging the green "flames" on the front, nice addition!
Is it the way the bus is parked or is she sagging a little in the rear?

Re: The Annihilatrix
I love that paint job...
I remember a commercial for either ford or toyota, where a guy drives a black pickup through a giant pink and white birthday cake... Normally I dont like pink, but it did look good splattered down the sides of the black truck... This green on black is a little higher up my liking scale.

Re: The Annihilatrix
hey thanks guys still not close to being done with the paint will keep posting i love this site . actually I am trying to figure out whats going on with the rear end i think it is sagging and i have it at a shop now taking care of a power steering problem and i asked them what they thought and they said that it used to have a bigger engine and thats why the rear sits low but i dont know if thats right sounds a little off to me i thought maybe it just needs new shocks any suggestions and what do you guys think about a upgrade like a solid coil is that possible or economical or any suggestions for the suspension . the picture if profile next to the beetle is how it sits when level got a few more pics for you guys

Re: The Annihilatrix
yeah thats what they said i just never hear anything like that in a wild fantasy we thought about slamming it to the ground like a lead sled but we like it being reliable what about putting the rear higher than the front i know that i see some buses like the little bluebirds with the butts in the air

Nothing a set of air bags wouldn't fix! Any level you want... but yea, fantasy thoughts...$$$
Raise the rear - much more feasable!

I would think it would drive better have the weight evenly dispersed... It would definately handle better. I personally would check into lowering the front level to the rear unless you are experiencing bottoming out in the rearend or if you plan on adding alot of weight... just my 2 cents!
