I think they look good. They look like they were always there.

I think they look cool! It all flows very well with the metal and wood lines. It makes the bus look older and more of a classic than it really is. Very cool! Now all you need is a "continental kit"...

A very fun couple of days.
Friday, I took it in the the International dealer....I asked them if i could watch the servicing, and they actually let me do a lot of the work (helps that my cuz is the warranty manager )......changed hub oil, diff fluid, and trans fluid. Learned a ton. The mechanics really liked the bus, and said it was the 3rd skoolie in there last week, so apparently this is becoming a 'thing'.
Yesterday, I installed cup holders (marine type, so they won't spill even when pulling 50 degree hills), shaded the fender skirts (I'm starting to like them better), installed seat belts (they're an homage to "Phatman's Ceiling Of Many Colors", which I *think* was also a story in the Bible), and installed my water tanks (bolted eyebolts through the floor, and will lock them in place with blocks)
The driver's side hub was grease-packed, while the passenger-side was oiled......apparently a Kentucky thing.

One of mine was grease packed and the other oil too. Now they both have oil.
Did they bump your hp or anything else?

Said they didn't have the 'option' to on the computer (someone else had also told me they couldn't do that on the 94-97 or 97-2000 models, can't remember which). He did reset the RPM governor to 2500 (original from factory), verified mileage was correct on my odometer, enabled my cruise control at 30 mph and enabled the throttle idle.
So, except for the HP, a fruitful trip.

I really like the fender skirts. They give your bus a "yesteryear" look.

Never heard of 2500. Mine were 2600 from the factory like every other DT.
And dang- your odometer is correct?
That's one spooky bus, bro.

They would look sooooo much better on a bus of your vintage, especially in whitewood, with a teardrop shape......and your talent level is miles beyond mine.
But they're growing on me, now that the shading is right.

I'd snap a pic of my build sheet, but it's out at the bus.
Here's more spooky for ya........my odometer shows 179, 499......the computer said 179,119......still haven't figured that one out.

Spooky Bus says hi (...don't understand why I can't send a pic in a PM....).
Only a couple of hours bus-time this weekend, but I finished the bracing for my tanks and measured for curtains. They're closing our upholstery plant and I'm getting terminated at the end of August, so I have to get my curtains made while I have access to skilled, cheap labor.

Thanks, guys....appreciate the empathy, but there are a LOT of folks worse off. At least we're getting plenty of notice and a pretty good severance package. The bad part will be looking for new employment at 62....not fun, according to some of my friends who have been in the same boat.
But I am getting curtains!
