Test fitting wall panels after carpet was glued on... Now have to cut carpet transition strip to length to cover the seams...

At the top you can see how the wiring loom goes on and you can get an idea of the sofa/bunk will work out...

Re: The Dirtybus...

Here's the carpet transition strip I picked up... Came in 12' sticks... I had to drill the holes bigger so I could use #8 pan head sheet metal screws... You can also see the counter top color and some sticker goo I still need to clean off...

Got the strips in and the trim for the window... Need to start on the other side now... Then install the bunks and carpet them... It's getting cozy...

You can see the damage to the counter top on the top of the back splash in the last pic... It about 4" long right next to the extension cord..

That carpet will be nice for noise reduction and just overall "coziness", but I hope you have a good portable vacuum cleaner! I don't know about anyone else, but my bus is a dust magnet.

Re: The Dirtybus...

Dirty Goat, love your bus build, cool cabinets made out of steel and armor plate, (who woulda ever thunk)
We also have auto chains but I am missing the last leg of the system, the arm and spinner head with the chains on it, so if you dont want yours perhaps we can make a deal if they will fit mine.

and now that you are a pro at painting can I bring my bus to you for a paint job? we dread having to sand and paint the sucker.

Re: The Dirtybus...

Got the wall finished up behind the head and removed the galley to insulate behind it... I'll finish up the galley and upper cab then paint them before they go back in...

Re: The Dirtybus...

Got the wall behind the galley sheeted... Cut the counter top for the stove and sink... Started painting the galley today... Gonna carpet around the window and to the right of the stove then install diamond plate aluminum behind the stove...

Re: The Dirtybus...

I recommend against carpet behind the kitchen counter area...it will get splattered and is almost impossible to clean.

Carpet? Ick! Use something you can clean. I would recommend a smooth wipeable surface.

I've got some white vinyl sheeting for shower walls that I might use on that wall... I'll need to pull it out and take a look...

Re: The Dirtybus...

Holy cow! That has got to be the shortest short bus I've ever seen. Pretty cool. Is there a pic of the whole bus? I saw the ones on the first page but none were a shot of the complete bus.

Not sure why you're not seeing the full length of the bus in the pics on the first page...

I'll see what I can post for a better pic...
