I think we have had ours about 5 months and I wish it was finished 2 months ago!! Looks like it will be mid-late summer before me move in, sell the house and use some of the $ to finish it. This plan allows us to travel a little before heading south again to outrun the snow. Plans are meant to be changed so who knows. One thing, if the neighbor's chickens are still in our yard when we leave, we may take them with us for dog chew toys.

Finally I disassembled all the seats, keeping 2 bottoms to make some benches for the garage.
I can't believe I have my garage back!!!

Ordinances and HOA's in FL suck to the extreme. Many years ago a large Developement near me had an HOA from hell. They went as far to say your curtains had to have a white liner if they were visible through the glass. Made one guy buy a second vehicle because his pickup couldn't be parked in his own driveway- he had to park it elsewhere. Anywho...
A friend owned an adjacent property. He also owned several antique cars. He wanted to build an airplane-hangar type building for storage, but needed a variance on the agricultural zoning. Yup, HOA pitched a fit. "A hangar will be an eyesore!"
He had to live with the ag zoning. Soooo... He built a pig farm. He put the slop as close to the property line as he could.
Moral of the story is, Karma is a bitch!

There's a young man here named Porkchopsandwiches that has done a conversion as cheaply as he could. I think he was 19 when he started. Anyhoo, I just went and snooped in his thread, and he put LEDs inside and out on his bus.

Thanks everyone on the suggestions for the LEDs, but as our priorities shifted from "best skoolie conversion ever" to "get it done asap to get the skoolie papers so we can get it out of storage". This, of course, requires renouncing some bells and whistles...

Progress is progress. Sometimes I HAVE to take a week off of this project of mine, too.No need to deck it out with the bells and whistles... you're doing just fine.
A buddy of mine who has been building a bus has put his up on CL. He and the misses are going through some ugliness it seems.
