Skollie_Noob- when the time comes, go with a local agent. There's a thread about FL and insurance.
You could contact Blanchard in Orlando. But it may be to late as you've already alerted Progressive to it being converted.

If we could all figure out how to break free from working for "The Man" and skoolie full time life would be great. Oh wait, if Bernie Sanders gets elected we can! He'll give everyone everything for free!

Don't know much about that, but I'm going to sit right here and enjoy this tea...

Please, don't feed the trolls...this was not meant to be a politics-inclined thread, at all....let's not turn it into one now. I don't want to have to unsubscribe to my own thread
let's keep it skoolie-centric, OK?

Relax Noob and East.....we're just adding a little levity to the talk. We won't turn the thread into a political rant. I have enough people here at work I have to listen to all day for that.

PS- I don't think anyone actually meant YOU are a troll, dg...
Its all good... I, like Noob, would just hate to see the forum revert back to the way it used to be.

Awesome!
Thanks, guys
Back on topic(s)!
I'm giving myself until this December to bring "Squeezed Daily" to camp-worthy conditions by purchasing an A/C unit, finishing up interiors assembling everything, securing generator....somewhere on the ourside of the bus(!), adjust mirrors...i think that's it!
for the interiors, I'm going all "pre-fab": couch/main area seating will be a small love seat bolted to the floor adding seatbealts to it, kitchenette area will be a fold-out table with build in sink (found it on amazon), mini fridge under it, water tank+pump under sleeping area, toilet....still in design phase , run electrical
yeah...i'm pretty much done...

I've seen many people with both skoolies and factory rv's that use furniture and cabinets from IKEA. They have all been happy with the quality and the fact that it is easy to get the items into the bus since they usually require some assembly.

Hey Noob, Have you got any pictures or item info on Amazon on the kitchenette stuff. Looking for something for my project. Saw the couch, where is it from. Thanks, Joe.

Exactly! the loveseat will be an Ikea piece.
this is the table (don't laugh) > http://amzn.com/B006JEDPHQ
this is the cooktop that will go on top > http://amzn.com/B00005OU9D
Depending on how hot the bottom of the stove gets, i'll put something like a butcher block/cutting board under it.

Actually that table is a great idea! You could even remove the legs and mount it as a permanent countertop on cabinets. Sink and faucet are already built in. I like it!

Sure, Joe!
the couch is from Ikea. The frame is all metal. Our dog has been using one as his own (yes, we spoil that mutt rotten...he has his own room in the house, too!). Another plus, the cover comes off easily for washing. I like this design as the tubular legs/feet will make it a bit easier for attaching it to the floor, and attach seatbelts.

The idea is minimal build-time; however, good point on removing the legs completely, as i already measured, and might need to chop right-side legs to mount on top of wheel...path of least resistance

You'd have to admit, not having to lift and carry a cabinet (or something larger) all at once, but panel-by-panel, has its uses
If you're careful enough, that type of furniture can last a long time, too! Couple that with the affordable price tag...i sound like a spokesperson

We have multiple pieces of Ikea furniture in our house that is 16 years old and still in great shape! It holds up very well.

Man, i love watching those tiny houses shows!
At times, reading and seeing pictures of all these great builds, I regret buying a shortie, but they i think "it has taken my 2yrs to get close to 50%...with a 7-window unit or longer, I'd probably still be removing seats!"
If you've never watched the shows, i'd suggest to watch one or two episodes. If nothing else, for the shock when the "new tiny homes owner" realized <300sqf might not be the best way to be cool and trendy
