The color is a standard Rustoleum ( high performance protective enamel) color.They do have to mix it for you. I got mine at a Menards building center. I painted the bus with a air less sprayer. I didn't have to thin the paint. Just sprayed it on at can thickness. A roller with Rustoleum actually gives a pretty good finish.

I couldnt get that color no matter how many people I contacted. We only have an Ace here and then there is not much else but Hme Depot, and that is 120 miles from here. I ended up buying a couple quarts to mix and sample. We're going with 3 parts Safety Yellow and 1 part JD Green. We're going to roll and brush, at full thickness.

That's what I was going to do until I found Rustoleum made the color already. I was going to go 1 part yellow and 1 part green.I guess try a small patch and see what happens. Let me know what you do and how it works out.

Rustoleum does not make the color. I couldnt even find anyone that had the base to mix that color. You had someone mix it for you. How did they get the base for it. I even talked to Rustoleum themselves.

I hope your not calling me a liar. Here is a picture of the mixing label that Menards ( West Bend WI) used to mix my GREEN paint.
and here is the can of GREEN paint that I carried out of Menards and painted on my bus!
Why would I make up a story about paint?
There is some paint on the label but from what I can read it is called Key Lime and they used the Pro tint base , with 2 oz of KX white and the other color is painted over.

LOL, I am not calling you a liar. I am telling you what Rustoleum told ME. Ace told me they dont have the tint base to do it and they cant get it. I wish I knew this about 3 days ago, I would have further pushed. I figure when Rustoleum themselves told me no, I was done.

I called Rustoleum for a few things and they didn't know crap about their own paint. Call The Menards ( 262-306-3190 or the one in Pewaukee WI ( 262-695-0664) and they could give you the info you need.
I'm making two speaker boxes today and picking up cabinets this week for the back. Floor will probably will get installed in a week or two. Bathroom is right around the corner also. I also need to make some "under bus" storage for the battery bank and other crap.

those lite's on top make it look cross eyed and can you tell me what size, you had the pannals cut for the side windows..cool bus
i put clear lens up top and paint black dots on each one ,and make it look like moon eyes.....lol but it looks good

The sheet metal that I used was 14 ga and measured 26 1/4" x 29 5/8". I used 1/8" x 1" x 1" angle iron to support the sheet metal from the inside. If needed I could go into detail on the steps I did for the project. I don't think the finished result could've turned out any better.
I'm thinking about going with the clear lenses on top. Does the light shine down at the ground or is some sort of a deflector needed to get the light down?

I just finished hooking up my Mico emergency brake system. It works "tits"! This system came with the bus but the previous owner didn't know how it worked. I found some info on line and made a call to the mfg and figured it out. It is mainly suppose to be wired that if the bus has a wheel chair lift the Mico brake brakes locks the rear tires so the bus doesn't move while the chair is being loaded. The way I wired ( with limit switch on e brake pedal) is that any time I depress my e brake pedal the Mico brake automatically engages and the back tires can NOT be moved. My stock e brake didn't work very well even after I replaced the shoes and adjusted. The brake system retails for around $1000 and was on the bus when I bought it. Sometimes things do work out for the good. If you guys see a used on for sale pick it up and install it. I also wired a pilot light on the dash that goes on every time the e brake pedal is anywhere but in the fully up position.

I'm having a problem with the brakes. I don't remember anything wrong with them when I picked the bus up last fall. This spring after replacing all the brake lines and hoses, it started pulsating the pedal when I came to a stop. It is actually more of a thud,thud,thud, thud then pulsate at a very low speed. I dropped it off at repair shop and the guy said he could look at it in a day or two. Well, a week and half went buy and nothing. I then took it to a different place on Friday. He said he could look at it in a day or two.....( I heard that before...lol) He said he's just guessing but a lot of times he said the pads and rotors form rust between them if the vehicle isn't driver for length of time. He thought maybe cutting down the rotors or if it's deep then replace them. Did anyone else have these problems?
