Under Seat Heater Removal

I have a 1998 e350 v10 gas Shuttle bus..

I am ripping the floor up to weld new floor supports and cross bracing. One sea has a heater bolted to the bottom of it. I followed the wires back looking for a "valve" that will stop the coolant from running. I am keeping he heater, just moving that seat forward..

Any help as to where in heck those "valves are?"

I cannot see anything in the engine compartment.. Thank you

follow the hoses..... IF you have them, you probably do, you will find them inline with the hoses. some valve are inside some are in the engine bay... not all of them are easy to find.....

mine are under the chassis just aft of the drivers seat.

It was on the drivers side just before the AC condenser.

My E450 has 2 sets of valves. one under the dash for the driver control to the rear heat, and one set under the hood that actually shuts all heat off. So in my case when I shut off the valves under hood I lose defrost capability. I was really close to tearing the dash apart to change my heater core... then I found the second set of valves.

What year is your bus and where is the under hood set?

I just got a 03 e450 and the heat is not really hot and defrost doesn't seem to work.

Mine is an 03. With a corbiel body if it matters. The underhood valves are just in front of the firewall.

It may also not be the valves. My 1997 E350 Super Duty 7.3L turbo had a faulty heater blend door in the heater box. When it fails you will not get any warm air because it swings into the default cold (no heat) position.

Good point, mine blend door is bad too.
