Vinyl sheet flooring or waterproof engineered plank flooring?

This bus will be on the road a lot..... Any advice on which type of flooring to use? We also live in Alaska, so the temp variability will be anywhere from -20*f to 70*f.

We are looking at vinyl sheet flooring and an engineered waterproof plank-style interlocking one (Coretec one).

Thoughts?

I've been working with a relative's floor covering/installing for the last couple of years, off & on, and we have installed a good bit of each.
Either can be used. The vinyl plank will be a bit more expensive when you include the underlayment, and it will take a good bit more time to install. I can install the loose-lay sheet vinyl (non-glued type) in about 1/10 the time, after floor prep has been done. The glue-down vinyl sheet adds time, but still way quicker than plank.

A plus for the plank is that it is possible to replace one plank if it gets damaged later. (possible doesn't always mean easy)

I used polyvinyl rubber flooring from HD. I think they say its for garage floors. I glued it down just like vinyl but its a lot heavier and comes in sand dollar and checker board patterns.

Plank and tile type flooring is decidedly easier to replace in wear areas. And because buses are a bit like rolling bowling alleys, the wear and damage tends to be much more concentrated in a few areas. I''m going with rubber tile.

Someday I will be going with carpet, I know all the stories about dirt and mites and the like, truth of the matter is my DOG won't walk on anything but that, and because she is family then that's way it will be..LOL
They ask so little and give so much...pets will always come first in my Skoolie

And...there are some fantastic commercial grade carpet tiles available. I just sold some that were leftover from a project several years ago. Originally speced for a high-end hotel lobby. Tough stuff and easy to lay but totally the wrong color for my current project or I might have considered it.

I like the carpet tiles as well. I was pricing some medium nap ones at HD a few months ago. It's easier to pull one up and lay another down if it's damaged or stained.

Yes, those are decent possibilities. [cough cough]
.
We are partial to:
* easy to clean
* easy to replace
* easy to repair
* value vs investment.
And we recognize our decision may not appeal to the next owner, so it is simple to change.
.
Our 'system':
* 2003, after painting the base floor, we loosely laid one-inch pink-board.
* over that, we loosely laid half-inch plywood, thoroughly painted on all surfaces to seal.
* over that, we loosely laid our visual floor:
** bamboo plank around the perimeter
** slate down the center.
.
We rattle-canned the slate tiles with clear matte.
For visual interest, we create moveable patterns with 4" squares, mixed with 6" squares and 12" squares.
At the local-owned family-operated home-improvement center, we sorted through boxes of tiles for intriguing combinations of reds and golds, plus interesting textures.
A good rinse in the restroom sink allowed the highlights to shine.
Nearly two decades full-time live-aboard, and our floor retains its youthful glow.
.
.
Off-topic rant...
We refuse to carpet any interior.
Why?
We owned rental properties.
Removing used carpet -- and all carpet is used carpet -- is an education:
* carpet collects and holds odors, dirt, stains... all the while,
* decomposing from each step by everybody walking across it,
* grinding the fibers to nothingness, then
* constantly exploding miniature mushroom-clouds of molds and fungus and cooties yet to be identified by modern science...
* [suddenly remembers to breathe]
