Exclamation "Wheelchair Lift Door" Problem

Greetings!
My bus has been going along great after I moved it last month.

My current project has been lifting the wheelchair lift door (Image 1) to meet the lifted ceiling, then filling in the space below the door (Image 2).

This leads to my current problem. My door is ever so slightly off (Image 3). The weather seal no longer meets at the top, and the locking rod is about 0.5 - 1" too low to engage the frame securely. Sorry about not having better images, everything is tarped because we're having an unseasonal 2+ day long rain here in AZ

I'm interested in hearing other's opinions on how to fix/change this.

I think I need to alter my hinges slightly, as that's how it works in a house or on cupboards. Tighten the top hinge or push out the bottom hinge to pull/push the whole thing up slightly

This seems to make more sense than altering the bus version of the door jamb, although possibly both might need to happen.

I think I can tighten the top hinge and/or possibly add a few steel washers to the lower hinge.

My end goal is to use this doorway often, probably as my primary entrance. The current locking mechanism is not as important, but the door fitting the frame will be essential for weather proofing.

(edit)
Added second photo, this corner is lower than what I would like, currently the handle is fully "closed" but the rod is much lower than the hole it normally secures with.

you can probably lose the bars that go up and down.
fill in the bottom of the door.
and i ordered new weather stripping from mcmaster/carr.

Thanks for the quick reply!
If you are speaking of the white bars at the bottom, the white square tubing I welded in. The frame was too flimsy and made the whole frame sag towards the back of the bus without it.

I'll try there for new stripping once the door is in the correct place.

i was referringto the black locking bars.
the door bolt in the center should still be fine for latching the door.

Oh alright!
So you're suggesting I fill in the gap and/or reframe above the door?

above or below.
i think above would drop the handle outside back down to a more comfortable height.
fo more frequent use.
