All solar appliances?

Is it possible to build out a bus with no propane? Just solar electric?

Can solar run a stove and oven and hot water heater, etc...?

Yes.

Longer answer...
It is a bit "cleaner" to think of running everything from the battery bank (storage tank) and the solar panels/controller as means to 'fill' the battery bank (tank). Not entirely accurate but, with that in mind, you can see the need to have a sufficient storage capacity to power the things that you want to operate. You will likely end up with a 12VDC electrical 'system' powered from that battery bank and one of the things that it powers is an inverter. That produces 110VAC power and 'energizes' the 110VAC electrical system.

As is stated in nearly every solar discussion, the way to figure out if this approach will work for you is to do an energy audit/budget. This determines what your electrical power requirements are. You can then determine what you need for storage (battery bank) and what you need for solar (fill the storage). Energy Audit - Watt For? - JdFinley.com

We have no propane but we're not all solar. Water heater/AC uses a gen. or shore power.

Hi Don - I realize this is NOT for everyone/every solar system but maybe something to consider:
Solar to Power the Water Heater? - JdFinley.com

It is working great for me right now. There was some time this past winter where there was simply not enough power available to make it work.

That's a cool post. You don't see that many (direct) solar water heaters on skoolies.
