De-greasing/Cleaning out WVO tank

We just received a conversion kit from a fellow farmer who has been using the WVO on his truck. So the tank is second hand but in great condition. However, we want to degrease the tank before we start filtering our own oil. Any suggestions? We don't want to get it cleaned professionally (preferably since we don't have any money) and hope to use something like apple cider vinegar or other degreasing agent.

Thanks,
the Waste-Not Wagon
