Low temp solder blow out plug, original and my upgrade version.

Allows you to use the blow out for a fuel return port if you have no other port options.... and I don't.

I also installed a "T" fitting with a 10PSI pressure relief. Makes it safer than OEM set up. If a fire hits my fuel tank side the tank will begin depressurizing before the low temp solder drops out. Buy a couple extra minutes to flag a ride before it reaches Allah Akbar temperature.

Wow, that is a really clever hack! It's great that you were able to repurpose the blowout valve for a fuel return port. And adding the pressure relief fitting is a smart safety measure. It's always better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to something as combustible as fuel. Kudos to you for coming up with this upgrade!

Cheers James! I've taken much and given back when I can.

A few Old Milwaukee and lot of staring at that plug . I plugged the port, flipped, filled it with water and let it sit for a long stint. No leakers. Was surprised to see how many variety solders and various melt points/temp are available.
