Ok-there hasn't been a post in this section since July (and it was by me
) and for those that fill up at the pump it will mean nothing-but I hit on a good one this week. Since the days of free oil have gone ba bye around here, ( a big bio D company doing home heating oil has forced out all us little guys by promising the world) I was going to have to plan ahead to for next years travels. I saw an ad on Craigslist "400 gallons of oil for $200." Ok-400 will get me thru the racing season-theres peace of mind there. "Well i got like 5 barrels-and maybe 75 cubies I was going to convert my car but never got around to it." The guy was 20 miles away. I get there + see the cubies-100 of them! CLEAN? OMG! Like never used clean. Open a cubie + i can see to the bottom clean. Not even colored.
All came from an Italian fest he was involved with. "Quick-take my money!" 6 +1/2 barrels + 100 cubies. apx 700 gallons of worth. Filtering this stuff is gonna be a breeze.
Except for the fact my 52 year old body feels 82
after all the loading of everything in my trailer (2 trips) + pouring it all into barrels.... I'll feel better every gas station I pass.
and bought a 97 MB. I haven't converted it--yet. But with fuel this cheap, I don't feel the urgency.
