Please forgive me if this subject has been posted before. I tried searching but am pretty horrible with that.

Tesla unveils a battery to power your home, completely off grid

My husband and I have been waiting for Tesla to start shipping their home battery systems. I was curious if anyone with more experience than my own would have any pointers? In theory it seems a great system!

I'm no expert but for significantly less than the $3500 price tag for their 10kWh version you could put a together a sealed lead acid 12V 1000AH battery bank (12kWh).

I'll wait and see if the price drops in a couple of years like most new technology.
