Veggie Fuel Line IDeas?

I'm wondering what size (Inside Diameter) fuel line I should be running for my veggie system in a 1979 Crown Supercoach with a 1978 Detroit Diesel 6L-71Turbo. The stock, diesel fuel line has a 1/2" inside diameter. I don't want to restrict fuel flow when I switch over to veggie but the fittings on my filter are like, 5/16" ID. Has anyone had any problems with reducing the diameter of their veggie line? Give me some info. What size is your diesel fuel line compared to your veggie line?

Thanks!

Mines an International and has 3/8 so I stayed with the 3/8. Maybe try asking at a local bus barn and see if someone can tell you if that will cause constriction.

Re: Veggie Fuel Line IDeas?

Well, almost true. The ports on my heated racor filter are 1/2", but I put 1/2"to 3/8" hose barbs on it. I figured with my self-regulating aux. fuel pump that I wouldn't have any problems and I haven't.(knocks on wooden object) I just wanted to have a simpler set of extra parts. I think someone posted somewhere and gave meathumbs up at one time or another. RECYCLER
