Will a DT360 run on SVO?

Wanted to make sure the DT360 would run on SVO before we purchased it. Anyone know for sure?

Technically, all diesels will run on WVO. However, some are better suited than others. The biggst issues is making sure the injector pump is robust enough to handle it. Old two stroke Detroit diesels along with the 8.2 Detoirt might be the best off because they don't even have an injector pump. Next comes the Bosch inline injector pump in terms of brute strength. They're simple and strong and used in all kinds of engines. Probably the least well suited is the rotary type Bosch and Stanadyne pumps. They are cooled and lubricated by the fuel going through them instead of by engine oil. Since we actually HEAT our oil up and the molecular structure (yes, molecular structure matters when it comes to tolarances measured in thousands of inches) I just don't see them as holding up.

So where does this leave you with your DT360? Just fine You have the same inline pump the DT466, Ford 6.6/7.8, some Cummins engines, etc use. I have this pump and a WVO system. Jason has had the pump on two different buses with WVO. In fact, his current one is a DT360 so you may want to look at his threads. Just search for the username lapeer20m.

if you want info on how to "turn up" the hp or your dt360 or 466 for free with about 10 minutes (well, more like an hour your first time) using a couple of simple hand tools i can help ya out with that too.

That would be great lapeer. Whenever you have time, I'd love to hear how to do that.
