Sounds like Pratt-Whitney. I would hate to have that thing crank up early in the morning! But then I think those Aqua-hots are obscenely loud. I've had a few of those parked next to us and laid awake all night listening to them roar on/off every 10 seconds. And folks complain that construction generators are loud.

I decided to replace my onan 7500 with a Powertech 15K. The Powertech was only slightly used (300 hours), and actually has a 20K head on it, but is breakered at 15K. It is powered by a Kubota 4 cylinder turbo engine. Runs amazing!!
I cant see myself running out of power in any situation now.

There's some members in the short bus area with smaller engines pushing their buses down the road than your Genny...

This is still one of my favorite builds...

Re: 2009 Bluebird Coach conversion/Build

Last month I winterized the coach, and parked it for the winter. Next spring/Summer, I have to do the body, and have it painted.

Parked in front of the house for the winterizing process.

Before...

I had this built for me by a local metal fabricator.... just how I've been building this coach..."over built"

I think it could have been built heavier. Lol!

I don't think that will ever be an issue now.

Re: 2009 Bluebird Coach conversion/Build

This is a quick video showing the bus climbing a steady grade. It's hard to tell how steep it is in the video. But the coach just holds it's speed with the cruise control on.

This is just a start up and idle in the engine bay.

And this is what it sounds like if you step back and listen to the stack....LOUD Turbo even at idle
