Manual transmission fluid?

I recently purchased a 1958 Viking Chevrolet with a manual transmission. Of course, I do not have an owner's manual to consult. I don't know what kind of transmission fluid to use. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

straight 50 wt mineral oil for manual transmissions was common then. 75-90 gear oil is similer in viscosity and what I use in place of straight 50 wt.
