Sorry I've been gone for so long. I had a very busy summer with changing jobs, loosing my grandmother, and just general life stuff. My new job has me traveling internationally (which I've never done before).
Anyway, I wanted to say that, as an engineer, I like to over-think things. I thought I had to really jack the bus up to get to the starter solenoid.
Nope.
I just had to jack one side in the back about 2"-3" so I could get underneath. I then tapped the starter solenoid with a hammer (heh, about 20 times in various places), and after about a year of not running, my engine started right up. Rough at first, but smoothing out after about 30 seconds.
I sat in the driver's seat for at least 20 minutes (20 minute engine idle shutdown timer...) listening to the sound.
I really should stop over-thinking things....
