Thank you! It is a Sony Alpha A6000. I have been very happy with it. As you say, squishing photos down to a reasonable size for the web has a way of making them less good.

Ah, that's the mirrorless one IIRC. Those get featured a lot on hiking forums.

I am terribly embarrassed by my lack of progress and updates of late. I am in NM house/pet sitting for some friends and it was supposed to be a couple weeks of huge progress. Instead.... well... I'm not even sure where the last couple weeks went.

I did get the new microwave/convection over "set" in place. Not permanently mounted yet...





I've also been working on the shower and bathroom floor. The shower walls required a bunch of custom fitting (for straight walls) and too many little details/challenges to list. However; it is coming along and I hope to be installing some tile tonight.





I've also acquired two new roommates. They promised to help me with all the work. I have to give them credit for trying - they are always there when I am working but so far there "assistance" is questionable. However; they do make me laugh!!

Here they are holding down some lumber for me.

They should fire you. It's obvious you don't know anything about the way of cats nor interior design. It's called Distressing. It's making new stuff look antique. They are adding the dents and dings. It's up to you to do the staining. They don't have thumbs for holding paint brushes.

Food! Yes - wow! I've had individual kittens before but never two at once - the amount of food they go thru is VERY impressive given their small size.

I'm actually making some progress on the bathroom floor and shower. However; I haven't taken the time yet to organize my thoughts on photos.... Soon!

In the meantime, I did get the clothes washer/dryer combo unit moved into the coach. Thanks to the help of several friends and a skid-steer!



For those that are interested, it is a Kenmore 41003. It is a 4.5 cu. ft. Front-Load Combo Washer/Dryer in metallic silver. It measures 29.75" x 27.0" x 38.7"
and runs on 120 VAC.

No, sorry, I haven't fired it up yet. I have some plumbing work to do first....

No, sorry... I'll report when I do have some numbers though.

However; my routine for the last few years (had a Splendide WD in the last RV) has been to boondock as long as possible and then spend a night or two with full hookups (state park or campground). This allows me to dump/fill tanks, do laundry, get rid of trash, and whatever else needs done for one "fee". So, that means that the washer/dryer is only used with shore power/water.

Only makes sense to do it that way. I think the specs said 3.2 I'm assuming gallons per wash. And if it's not tripping breakers at 20 amps, it isn't terrible if you have to do a load in the boonies. Tho if I'm in the boonies, wearing clothes much less washing them, isn't real high on the list of things to do.

Ok, finally time for some bathroom and shower floor photos.

With the help of my interior design consultants, I decided to go with a tile floor for bathroom and shower. For such a small bathroom, this has been a project and a half!!

Under the floor tile, a Schluter Ditra heat system has been installed. This includes an underlayment that is the separation/isolation layer between the tile and the sub-floor as well as a "matrix" in which the heating wires and temperature sensors are installed. I purchased this 43 square foot Schluter kit from Amazon.





I know… I know… A heated bathroom floor is certainly not a necessity. However; I'm old (according to my doctor) and deserve to be pampered from time to time (according to me)! This will only be available when I'm on shore power (or maybe running the generator that I do not have and may never have).



There are several things with which I am not happy. The tiles that didn't fit correctly and the resulting less than arrow straight lines are right at the top of the list. I also had to get creative with the shower drain. I'm still not sure if I should have done what I did…. But… it is done. Actually, I'm sure I should not have done it. However; if it doesn't leak for a couple years, I'll be satisfied (and probably ready for a bathroom re-model by that point!

Throw a ball of tinfoil across the floor and see if it meets their needs as well. They have final say on temp range too. FYI,... the body temp of a god is between 101 and 102. The floor needs to reach at least those temps for proper napping.

Except for all the things that make it a shower, the shower is complete.



My camera made the wall tile look kind funky, it is not nearly that wild.

I will eventually get to the faucet, shower head, and finishing touches. My goal for this "phase" (while sitting in one place for a few weeks) was to get the major construction, tiling, and glass enclosure installed.

Mission accomplished!

Spectacular build. We are all peeing in 5-gallon buckets and this guy has toasty toes.

Ditra is nice to work with- I used it on a granite install & made me look like I knew what I was doing. I think it was a great choice on a bus.

Really excited to see this build unfold. Am taking notes.

The Ditra was excellent. The only nuisance was finding a way to using the excess heating wire that I had. In hindsight, I should have ordered less/shorter roll.

JD, I cannot see where the shower drain has a problem as you say. Can you explain? Fine looking job and nice to get some things accomplished that you wanted to.
