NewFlyer D40lf
I’m in the process of converting a 2005 New Flyer. This is a Canadian built 40ft transit bus with a Cummins/Allison/Mann drivetrain. It has a 95” ceiling, and is 100” between windows.
I’ve removed the front door entirely and added a real passenger seat using a fully air ride Peterbuilt driver seat (with integrated belt)
The Power is provided by 10kw of Lifepo4 rack batteries driven by a 10kw split phase inverter charger and over 4kw of panels.
HVAC is a 12k BTU mini split by Senville, rated down to -20. Is a single zone 120v unit.
Fridge is a NovaKool RSF7501 marine unit. 120 or 12v automatic selecting with battery saver when in 12v mode.
Video monitoring of dash, blind spots, backup and security cameras with 360 degree coverage with recognition and notifications is handled by a Lorex commercial camera system.
80 gallons of fresh, plus a bottled water pump system for drinking water that feeds a restaurant style glass filler that chills through the fridge.
50 gallons of black tank fed by an upflushing/macerating toilet that also handles pumping the effluent from the kitchen sink.
Sewer is handled by an 1.5” camlock system with a self flushing hose and a through carbon vent system.
All the cabinets and walls are self built. Countertops are restaurant grade stainless. Indoor cooking is all electric. As a chef I’m using sous vide. A 3 way oven (microwave, convection and air fry) a commercial induction top and supplemental outdoor gas griddle.
Tons of diamond plate and carbon fiber. An 18’ power awning to match. Color selectable lighting with night vision red lights. An oversized king bed (80x82) etc etc etc etc.
