Our Future Home

We are making a little progress. Hoping to have most of the welding and cutting of steel done before real cold weather gets here!

Yes it will be a small rear deck and a place for my motorcycle while traveling. More work than I thought but will be worth it in the end.

Isn't that going to affect the departure angle?

Don't know what size your bus is, but a 40 footer already has about 12' hanging out behind the wheels. As CaptSquid notes...that makes for a big change in the angle it can clear without dragging. Might want to add a roller on bottom like some of the big "Motor Coaches" have.

My skoolie isn't a 40 footer, from the rear axle it is 14 feet to the back bumper, so only 2 feet more shouldn't be to much of a problem.

I am getting a 10 foot ramp that I will be storing under the middle of the back end. I did some math and double checked on a website i found and it should not be a problem, getting a u-haul ramp from an old wreak
How To Determine Proper Motorcycle Loading Ramp Length| discountramps.com

It's coming together slowly but doing it right or at least I hope so!

Now that I think about it that roller idea might be some good insurance, just in case. I will have to look into that
Thanks Tango
