Also keep in mind, the caging bolts are not only specifically designed for the job, but they are heat treated for strength.

I wonder why we are discussing this issue, though. Who's planning on doing the actual towing? One is unwise to tow a 17000 pound bus without the necessary equipment, knowledge and experience, and a professional towing company *WILL* have the necessary caging bolts and the knowledge on how to properly install and use them.

I agree completely with that. ^^^^

I would never want to try to urge someone to try their hand at something they aren't prepared for which could be dangerous.

However, while it's off-topic since this started as a discussion about towing, if anyone's interested in doing their own maintenance/repairs, a couple of caging bolts are a good thing to have. They're nice to have for brake work, changing wheel studs, and changing seals.
