Any reason NOT to use diesel fuel Stabil (fuel stabilizer)?

I've used Stabil to keep gasoline from turning for years now on anything not a daily driver. I love the stuff. It's proven itself time & time again.

I just realized they make a diesel variant, so I picked some up. Granted, diesel isn't prone to the same breakdown as gas is, but I figured what could it hurt.

Does anyone have any input for or against it?

For skoolies a product like that can make a lot of sense.

Agreed, if it works could be a very good thing for Skoolies.
No idea how it compares to other products in price or performance.
It appears to have no biocidal properties. But it's method of action as per their documentation addresses factors involved in the growth of bacteria or fungi (oxidation &/or water infiltration.
I'm going to add it to our tank today. If this was gas, I could tell you in about 4 months if it worked or not (AZ desert summer). But I doubt in the case of diesel there will be such dramatic & obvious signs of awesomeness.
I've grown to trust the brand.

I've never used the sta-bil diesel additive. We have the power service stuff on the shelf for diesels. But stabil does do wonders for storing gas. I've also never heard any negatives from stabil products ever either fwiw.

The powerservice products that I've used include the white bottle supplement, the red bottle 911 stuff, and the white bottle bio-kleen for fuel fungus.

I see they have a product called clear diesel now that is for long term diesel storage. Has good reviews so I might start using it on my bus.

IMO a fuel preventive is always a good idea.

I use Powerservice in my DEV bus.. it sat for over 6 months not being turned on with the same fuel.. and the powerservice Diesel KLEEN in it.. I didnt add extra, I just had it in there because I add it every fill up. at the higher does of recommended.. once I got the fuel system primed that engine fired right up and didnt smoke much at all so im guessing it kept my fuel good..

I use Archoil oil and fuel addtive in my T444E mainly because the ford powerstroke guys seem to swear by it.. it fixed my lazy-injector issues I had.. (hence why I have a box of brand new injectors on my garage shelf for 2 years now and the originals all work again..)..
