Centra-matics review

Hello!
Just wanted to confirm the great reviews about the Centra-matics. 2,000 miles with them now, and I never felt the slightest vibration. Weird noise when going slow, though, the "sand" flowing into the things is clearly audible.
Maybe I was lucky and the new tires and wheels were already perfectly balanced, but I doubt it.
I tried balancing beads in another vehicle, and it didn't work.

I used to install these years ago at a shop. They were a hard sell. Need to install with new tires before they begin to cup and wear. Some times they will create a slight wobble at slow speeds crossing railroad tracks. It goes away quickly.

Are these similar to the old hub-o-matic balancing hubs, only with sand? I had lock-o-matic hubs on a scout.

They use ball bearings in oil moving in a tube.
