front wheel bearings, oil or grease?

I have a 1989 bluebird on an IH s1800 chassis that evidently originally ran the front wheel bearings in oil, but now they are packed with grease. What is the consensus amongst y'all, oil or grease?

I like the oil bath type. Easier to maintain.

Just mind what surfactant you use when bathing in oil...

As far as I can tell, there is only one type seal available, and they are all in Tennessee. And avoid surfactants entirely, just rinse with scotch brite.
