Good deal on a 9.0 International w/ 5 speed manual

I'm looking at 2 1987 International busses with the 9.0 5 speeds. (well, haven't actually seen them yet!)

My current 2 busses are 345 gassers with horiffic gas mileage and I'm looking at an engine swap. Body styles are the same so I expect it will be fairly easy.

I've spent hours the last 4 days "trolling", asking some questions here and there, but what do you think? I read that the 9.0 has positive and negative comments. I have not heard anyone WITH one have anything negative to say.

Is it worth it to swap the 9.0 or hold out for the DT466 if I can find one??

I have aspirations to make it out to Burning Man one day!
