How to identify what diff I have?

Hey quick one, I’ve stupidly sprayed bitchimun all under the bus but now need to find out what diff I have so I can try find some seals for the axle (1983 International Wayne 9.0)

Does anyone know roughly where the identification plate would be so I don’t need to remove all the under paint.

Thanks!

There should be a tag somewhere on the axle.

The easiest thing would be to call Ye Olde International dealer and let 'em look it up in the database. I can't say how far back their data goes, however. I had an 87 IH and the axle in it was a "RA 44"? (Don't quote me on that).

There *SHOULD* be but after 30+ years it may be absent.

You might get lucky and find the line setting ticket taped on the hood. Mine was placed there and I've used that to get info for my bus.

On mine, it's taped above the right side hinge, between the hinge and the fresh air intake for the engine.

I’ve got a VIN number on the inside of the bonnet on a pressed plate maybe I’ll try that, and contact International if I don’t have any luck underneath, thanks everyone
