Hi, I'm the other half of the Fran project
Seeria has me mostly doing engine work, which is turning out to be interesting. I know just enough about gas engines to get me in trouble ;) and next to nothing about diesels lol.
I'm going to be changing the alternator in a few days. I've done this once before, in something that would have required pulling the radiator to get to the belt tensioner (not an option in a wally world parking lot
). Fun times.
Well this time the tensioner is right there, easy to get to... I'm just not sure how to loosen it, and want to make sure I'm doing it right.
This is the tensioner right? I would assume I just loosen the bolt on the lower one and rotate the arm with the upper pulley out of the way to lower the tension. Is that correct?
