I'm not sure one of my air tanks is actually connected to anything...

Hi all, I was poking around underneath my bus tonight taking in the air line plumbing, and I spotted something that didn't make sense to me. I have a total of 4 air tanks. Looking at the two forward-most tanks, one of them is connected directly to the air dryer on one end, and goes out to the other tanks on the other end (didn't trace that out completely yet), but the other tank doesn't have any connections on the front or the back of the tank. I'm assuming there's no inlets on the top of the tank so... not sure what's going on here.

Thoughts?

View of the driver's side tank with a yellow hose going to the air dryer:

Both tanks from the front. Note there's just a plug on the passenger side tank:

Both tanks viewed from the rear. Passenger side is on the left, again, just a plug.

I wouldn't assume that there isn't lines on the top. Get a mirror, endoscope, or feel around with your hands and see if there are lines to it.

What the passenger tank is for is anyone's guess. It might just be more wet tank capacity. The one on the right is called the wet tank because it's the first tank fed by the compressor or dryer, and it then feeds the primary and secondary tank. Although with a dryer, it should never be wet and have moisture present like it's name would indicate.

Any non important air uses will be fed by the wet/auxiliary tanks, leaving the primary and secondary tanks protected to do the important stuff.
