Need diesel mechanic in salt lake city

My bus will not start anymore. Need help or a clue....
2002 bluebird diesel pusher 8.3 cummings, world traveler trans

I have done these:
New batteries.
All fuses and relays are good, none missing.
All emergency exit switches closed and triple checked.

Ran wire from battery and got starter to turn.
Ran a new wire from ignition switch to starter and got starter to start.
Confident it's not the battery or starter.

Recently lost all power to dash along with not starting.....probably not related but not helping. Very frustrated and run out of ideas....

You need an Auto Electric technician.

First make sure your batteries are up around 12.5 volts and the connections are all clean and tight. Make sure your chassis ground is clean and tight. Make sure the connections at the starter are clean and tight.

Set your multimeter to volts DC and connect the positive to the solenoid wire and the negative to a known hood ground. When you hit the key, do you get voltage?

If you don’t, you aren’t getting power out of the starter relay. Why not? if you’re lucky it’s the relay itself. You need to check you have voltage to that relay.

That’s a next step if you don’t hand this off to someone more experienced.

The no dash power makes me
Think you have a grounding issue

I do get voltage now after I ran a new wire directly from ignition switch to starter. If I take that new wire off no voltage. So power not running through relays.

OK. Just to make sure, connect to that solenoid terminal and the ground and try it.

If still nothing, you need to locate the starter relay. There’s a high and low current side that should be diagramed on the relay. If it’s not, you should be able to find it on the Internet. That’s the next step. Does the relay work? This is easily tested with some test leads. If it works, do you have voltage to the high-current input side? Are you getting ground? Are you getting power to the low-current input blade?

Check all your fuses in the engine bay. There are a few that control power to the ECM. If your dash or gauges are not lighting up I would start there.

My 2001 Blue Bird had similiar symptoms then I started checking fuses and turns out I had to replace a few.
