Operating temperatures for DT466e and 2000-series

I have a DT466e and a 2000-series transmission, and a Bluefire set up to display my coolant temperature, my oil temperature and my transmission temperature. Up until recently, the hottest oil temperature I ever saw (even on long-ish trips of maybe one hour) was 205°F and the hottest transmission temperature was around 145°F. In the last couple of weeks, I've sometimes noticed the oil temperature getting up as high as 220°F and the transmission temperature getting over 200°F. At these times the coolant temperature remains between 190°F and 195°F.

It has been hotter weather here lately - the lower max temperatures I had been seeing before were when I was driving the bus in much colder weather. Are these oil and transmission temperatures anything I should be worried about? They don't show up in red on the Bluefire display, but I don't know if the Bluefire really knows what the temps should be. I'm going to be taking the bus to the mechanics' shop soon to get my annual oil change and have everything checked out, but I'm wondering if I should be concerned in advance.

Those temps are pretty normal operating range in hotter weather. Most transmissions are in the 180-190F range when cruising. They'll get hotter than that on long hills or towing. In general, keep transmission temps below 220F. Hotter than that and it starts to cook the fluid and shorten its lifespan. Your oil and water temps seem perfectly normal to me.

Oil temperature

IF, the temperature indicated is correct, I would no be concerned, 220 watch the temps, 230 max, but 220 is much better. If you’re running 230 all the time, consider your engine oil cooler.

Consult engine manufacturers specifications.
