If you have a leak in a brake pot diaphram, this valve will leak down in unison with the diaphram leak. If you have a minor leak in a QR (Quick release) Valve, this valve will leak at the same time. If there is a leak between diaphrams, the supply and the Spriong Brake, this valve will leak!

For reference replacing the QR-1C valve cured the issue. AN aftermarket was was only $12 on ebay.
