radiator life

Curious if there is a expected "life time" of a radiator. My bus is almost 18 years old...The last thing I want is to be stranded on the road side because my radiator had had enough.

no, but......

If this all brass/copper radiator, then remove it and have it "rodded out" then put back together and installed. I find it to be pretty common to have a build up of crud in the cooling tubes.

If this is one of those plastic and aluminum radiators... I suppose I would figure out where to buy one and make as sure as you can about the correct part number, so that when you do need one, you have already done the work.

Or, if you are comfortable with it, buy a new one and replace. Sure beats doing it as an on the road repair.
