you can shorten it if you use that system. the air filter doesn't know how far away the venturi is...

i would probably toss that system, but im ignorant...

they are too complicated, and if you need some air flow and want to leave the rest of the system in place, a small radiator fan would work. they never work right anyway, when the exhaust pipe gets a hole in it..
