Swapping allison 3060

Hello,

Have a few questions for ajyone who might have went down this road,

I am currently purchasing a allsion md3060 trans, tcm, pushbutton, wiring harness and flexplate to swap out my manual trans innmy freightliner fl60.

I was wondering besdies the stated parts if anyone had any insight or anything else I will need for the transmission swap.

Bus is 3126,
Fl60 is c7
I have computer to turn truck ecm to AT

Thank you all.

I'm confused. Is your engine a 3126 or a C7?

So if I understand this correctly, you're taking the MD3060 out of a bus and slapping it into a box truck?

There could be capped off connectors in the original wiring harness, tucked up by the frame that would make this more of a plug and play deal.

Thank you all.

I think you need the gas pedal too.
It sends signals to the tcm...

the TCM should gets its signals on a 3126 or C7 from the J1939 datalink.. the earlier cats used a special throttle TPS.. but later they went to the datalink method..

the gas pedal sends an electrical signal to the ECM to run the engine.. the engine computer in turn uses the datalink to send the TPS, engine load, kickdown, cruise info, etc over to the transmission

Some 3060’s have a second little box in the dash that you also need. Mine didn’t maybe because it has the older tps that is cable operated. I have done a swap on my bus. So feel free to reach out if you get stuck, maybe I can help
