Re: Water in fuel? (Diesel)
get the water out of the system, install a raycor or similar water seperating fuelfilter before the injection pump, open the lines at the injectors and flush the ip and lines of all contaminated fuel, siphon/drain the water out of the bottom of the fuel tank, bleed the fuel system and only then try to start the engine and hope that no damage has been done. the biggest danger of running water contaminated fuel is the possibility of blowing the tips off of the injectors, the high viscosity of water along with its ability to expand something like 1000 to one when it converts to steam is a real issue to be concerned about. if/when the injectors self destuct the next issue is how much damage will the debris do to the pistons/cylinders.
