What Transmission? Can anyone help and advise?

Im looking online at a 2002 Bluebird GM bus with an 8.1 Vortec engine. They say its an Allison Transmission but dont know which one. I see everyone says to stay away from the AT545. Can anyone tell me if they know which transmission this one would have?

The VIN#1GBM7T1E51J512930

Also if you know tell me if this is a good one or not? Appreciate you...

So it could be either a AT545 or MT643. You'll have to get pics of the transmission mount pad and oil pan, or crawl under.

behind an 8.1, most likely an AT545.. that and the 1000 series were the most common stuffed behind the 8.1's.. that shifter looks like AT545.. I dont remember the 8.1 being SAE2 (MT643 bell) capable but its possible they made a flywheel housing for it..

He sent me a pic of the shifter. Its either a 545 or 643. I'd bet its a 545.
