+1 on the parts bus being the way to go. When I did mine there weren’t very many used busses with 2000s on the market. Now they are everywhere. I also wanted new parts and a 6 speed as I travel lots of miles and all over the country so I wanted to start fresh..

Rolesville found that IH didn’t intermingle the wiring in 2004 and older.. I’m sure on 05 plus you’ll find the harness are more co mingled but if you find a bus with the same engine but newer you can move the computer from one to the other and maintain the software needed to run the TCM correctly..

Rolesville even put the 545 back in the donor bus and sold it as a runner driver.
