windshield wiper pivots

Well after the long jounrey to get replacement wipers I have one pivot that has stripped out and wont hold the nut againt the arm.

Can someone give me an idea of what Im in for on the change out of this? I dont think it will be that hard but it looks like it will have to be done from the dash side and not from the outside.

Its a 1983 GMC Ward.

Any help will be appreciated.

I had a problem with my wipers in 2010. Stuck, wouldn't move. Mechanic told me I needed a new motor and it was $400. I said okay thanks. Drove to a junk yard and told them the problem. They played around for a bit and noticed it was just off it's track. Charged me $40 for an hour of labor. Point of my story - go to a junk yard, because they'll definitely be able to help and they'll be able to offer you a part for a 1/4 of the price.
