Couple of Questions About Parking Brake

I've got a 2002 Ford E-450 Bluebird 22 Passenger Bus and I read the 'care and feeding of a 7.3L Diesel' it mentioned checking the fluid level of the driveshaft mounted parking brake, but I can't find anything on it to indicate a view window or place to remove a bolt for servicing.

Any help would be appreciated. I read some other internet stuff that says you don't mess with the fluid in the parking brake unless you're pulling the tranny.

Next up is I can figure out how to adjust the parking brake, but what signs I should look for when adjusting it. Right now the parking brake pedal goes pretty far to the floor without much pressure. So I assume i adjust the parking brake so when the pedal is pressed I start to feel resistance?
