Ford 2001 e-350 7.3L or 2005 F-450 6L ?

Hi everybody!

This is my first post so thank you for «*welcoming*» me on skoolie.net 🤪

I’m hesitating between 2 buses and I would love you guys’ pros and cons of the two! Of course, I’ll do an inspection and check with my insurance before buying it but I’m having trouble finding good info on the internet:

- Ford 2001 E-350 7.3L diesel, 150 000km, gutted already, 4500$

- Ford 2005 F-450 6L diesel, 196 000km, not gutted, 3960$

I haven’t seen anyone of them in person because they’re both super far away from me (which is also why I’m looking for info before choosing one to go look over). Based on the photos, I can’t see rust on the exterior body of both, I asked for photos of underneath and the 2005 had only surface rust (still waiting for the other one's photos). I should mention that I’m in Ontario so that’s bound to be a problem no matter the bus.

Thank you for your input, and have a wonderful day!
Juliette

Can you tell me why a little bit? I saw a couple articles saying why the 6.0 reputation shouldn’t be as bad and not being a mechanic, the mumbo jumbo kind of lost me haha 😅

If you're not a mechanic avoid the 6.0.

Been a diesel tech most my life. Avoid the 6.0L unless you like to wrench.
