Parking brake light stays on

Good afternoon all. I recently purchased a 1988 B600 and the parking brake light stays illuminated. The previous owner advised that a few brake lines had been replaced. Could that be a culprit for the light being on? The pedal is a little soft and I also noticed that the brake reservoir is only about a 1/4 way full. Could it be that the brakes are bled correctly? Any guidance would be great. Thanks

Brian

the brake fluid should be almost completely full.
and with it only at 1/4 level i would say you have a leak somewhere.
and if you dont then i would not bank on the system being bled properly

Thank you for the reply. I am not sure if it was filled up properly by the previous owner.

No sir I agree. Want it to be right. Do you bleed the brakes on a bus the same as a car?

the park brake lite is not the one that senses the soft or low fluid. look for a mechanical switch on the linkage
