Question Exhaust

Since I have to replace my "Y" pipe on my 350ci and an off the shelf pipe is hard to fine I'm thinking of custom dual exhaust. any suggestions on configuration. "H" pipe, "X pipe, straight, out both sides, out one side?
thanks for any info ahead of time.

on my 454 Bus i did a standard Dual exhaust with headers.. you may find a full size pickup headers might have the collecter down low enough to clear the cowl.. I had a small-indie exhaust shop with a mandrell machine bend up my exhausts for me.. and the price was better than me buying various bolt on sets and putting them together..

if you do a custom exhaust you can also pick where its run under the bus as to fit in with your plan for water tanks, storage, etc..

I know everyone is in to X and H pipes.. I have never worried about it on the street cruisers I built.. and id worry about it less on a school bus..

on a 350 a nice 2.5" exhaust all the way back off of headers will work nice.. esp if you put an RV cam in it to gain some low-end brute.

Doug Thorley Tri Y headers into 2 chamber Flowmasters turned outwards always sounds nice going by.
