2002 dt466e icp & irp

Anyone order an ICP and/or IRP from one of the no-name companies? I have an intermittent code and am thinking about ordering a replacement ICP and IRP off amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A2O9440LJC4EKD

or both here:
https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHORSE-RA...e&sr=1-1-spell

Replacement from Napa or a dealer is close to $500.00 and white box with a name shouldn't cost a $400.00 premium. Quality is another story.

Thoughts?

The pair on amazon is less than 100.00. Just trying to see if I am wasting my time on junk.

75% chance of junk. Even the name brand ones from napa and oreillys can be junk

I bought the Amazon ones and had to pony up for a better IPR valve from Alliant after the no name one crapped out after about a week or so!

I bought a pair.... icp and ipr with pig tails.... off ebay just to have some on hand.

Long story short they sat a long time and I finally needed them. Pulled the ones off my bus and they were original ( 2001 model) so I was a bit shocked. I had a crank no start situation so we changed them and it fired right up.

Been running a week or so now with no issues.

I am about to order another set as a back up. Figured if I only get a little bit from them (hopefully longer) that I can swap them again and hopefully stay up if I have problems.

Hope this helps.

ICP, IPR, CPS, GPR (glow plug relay).. I have a 444E in the red bus which is very similar and those items are in my onboard stash all the time..

the CPS is the one that usually causes a no start but an IPR can too if it fails in the wrong position

And as far as the IPR valve goes, Don't go the cheapest route!!! I did that last year and it gave me tons of headaches! I ended up having to get another one as it was bad...
