2024 ic bus no start
The bus showed up with the dashboard lights resembling a Christmas tree, and the DEF gauge showing empty. We tried to fill the DEF only to find that it was already full. We parked the bus until we can get it to the shop. When we went to retrieve the bus later, we found that it would not start. We connected a computer to it and found that the TCM (Transmission Control Module) is not showing up on the computer. It seems like we may have lost a main power source for the TCM and something that controls the DEF system. Do these units have mag fuses in them that we can't seem to find?

If you got two separate systems not showing up, it may be the main ECM that is bad and a no start.
Can you grab codes? If not it's the ECM. If so the ECM may be working as it's what provides the codes.

Oh, so your a mechanic shop ????
Introduce yourself and your shop...where you guys at?
It one thing to help an end user but helping you make some money...???
Do you guys normally work on busses or is this just a one off?
Too many questions ???
I got more....
What tranny does the bus have? please don't just say Allison...
Tranny model???
What engine ???
If your pulling codes from the ECM, this is good, at least it is talking.
The tranny TCM DOES have a fuse. On a 2024 bus I don't know where it would be but on the older busses we play with it usually is right there in the battery compartment.
Some of the many possible reasons why it will not start ???
Open TCM fuse - no power
Emergency exit or wheel chair lift sensor not found (they usually talk to the TCM)

ho,ho,ho,ho.....I was just doing a quick glance at a 2016 - 2021 IC Bus BE / CE Series Electrical Circuit Diagrams manual # 0000020182, and boy o boy how those new busses are gonna be a total nightmare to work on.
Aside from the fact that they all have the wonderful Gen 4 BCM, they also have a new transmission, not an Allison!
The new tranny is called "Eaton Procision dual clutch 7 speed" transmission which from what I read, is now discontinued! And Oh Yeah, it has it's own proprietary TCM!
Eaton Discontinues Procision Dual-Clutch Transmission - Dec. 2019
I wonder what tranny is in the 2024 models ???
Then the testing/troubleshooting software...
Looks Like I'm keeping my 2005 for quite some time!

No, we are a private school bus transportation company in Ohio, just trying to make money like the rest of you guys, lol. We mostly work on school buses at this location. I just jumped on here to see if we were missing something, as we just got these IC buses and are not familiar with them yet. I was hoping someone may have had this problem before and could share what they had found.

Plus this is Navistar/International Drivetrain. I am assuming it is a Cummins he has.
For empty DEF tanks OR the gauge wrapping around the QLS sensor/ head unit and wiring was the first place to go too. If found faulty we had to also check the coolant bypass to the def tank. They can leak on the coolant side and over heat the def fluid. When I say leak.....not cross contamination.
But
With loss of TCM, your in the wiring.
Even though the last bus shop could do warranty work, there generally was a set rate with a cap amount unlike the dealer. We really had to pick our battles.
When I left we had more IC's on order. While I think they are better then the blue birds. The quality was tanking and way over engineered.
We had a few buses the needed to have the roof skins removed because they did not put enough sealant on the rivot joints. Roofs leaked.
